JEG DesignBuild, LLC is a residential and commercial design firm in the Houston, Texas area that specializes in plans for custom single dwellings, townhomes, multi-family apartment homes, mid-rise buildings, and retail/business commercial space.

JEG DesignBuild is owned by Mel Garza.  Mel started his working career in 1996 as a framer of custom homes and retail strip centers in the Houston inner city, Bellaire, Cypress, Kingwood, and Katy areas.  In 2004, Mel majored in Architectural Design and started his architectural design career.  Over the last 15 years, Mel has worked with well renowned names in the industry, including Kevin Young, Jack Preston Wood, Tom O'Leary, and David Weekly.

 

In 2018, Mel teamed up with Preston Wood & Associates and served as the lead designer, and led the team of designers specializing in custom homes, townhomes, condos, small market homes, apartments, and light commercial offices.  The client base consisted of builders, investors, realtors, and individuals who wanted their projects designed by the top professionals in the business. 

 

Through the years, Mel has built strong relationships with many companies in Texas and abroad, ranging from planning, design, engineering of all sorts, builders, wholesalers, realty companies, general contractors, subcontractors, and more. 

Jeg DesignBuild offers a comprehensive architectural and build service from initial conception, custom design, and build out until completion.
